Prashanti Art Centre in Valasaravakkam, which conducts French Classes with the blessings of Sri Sathya Saibaba, has the distinction of producing many outstanding students who have secured top marks in French in 10th Std in Tamil Nadu.

In the year 2006, SP.Vignesh of the Prashanti Art Centre secured 197/200 in the 10th Standard in Tamil Nadu.

Every year all students trained by this centre get top mark in French.

Ms.Sreelakshmi M.Sc., M.A., the teacher and Owner of this Centre, says those who secured single digit marks in 10th Std before joining this centre, started getting mastery over French after joining her centre and secured top marks in French in the Public Exam.
School students and College students studying French and those who want to go abroad join her centre to gain command over French, she says. Many of her students invite her to join their School or College as Teacher, and she has also got invitation from many Educational institution to take up job in their institution. Coaching classes are taken for alliance francis student going for level 1 & level 2

But Sreelakshmi is desirous of getting "Psychic income" by teaching her students in her Centre rather than earning fabulous incomes elsewhere.

Sreelakshmi is an M.A., in English and M.Sc., in Home Science and completed Dalf course(C1) at Alliance Francais.

She is Teaching French in Prashanti art centre in her own bungalow in Valasaravakkam from 2003 and before that she was taking Art Classes for 7 years in Mylapore in oil on canvas, reverse glass painting, Tanjore painting, Pot painting, Table Fountain etc., Now she conducts daily classes in French in her Centre. Her students treat her more as a friend than a Teacher, she says.

Those who went aboard after learning French from her keep constant touch with her.

She won the Educational Award in 2006 from Valasai Times.

Learning French refines one's thinking and makes one maintain "Fraternity, Liberty and Equality" which is the motto of the French Ethos, she says.

In the World Literature, French Literature is the most classic and many of the well known novels like "Les Miserables" written by Victor Hugo, and filmed world over, were written in French.

It is interesting to note that French had been the official languages of England for 600 years.
